Hi Grade 3 Families, I wanted to take the time to discuss our math program and provide you with some resources to support your children at home. I know for many student’s math can be intimidating, but it is my goal to place a more positive outlook on the subject, which can also start at home. I encourage you to include your children in activities around the house that will promote mathematical thinking and problem-solving. If you can fit it into your schedules, try and bake with your child, encourage them to read an analog clock, and let them take part in any sort of construction activity. There are many ways to promote mathematical thinking outside of the classroom, and as much as I will try and incorporate what I can, it would be great if you provided them these enriching opportunities as well.
